Some time ago, I made a rather interesting solution in a smart home, I actually connected the TV to a Raspberry microcomputer and broadcast different information from it to this TV, that is, initially I tried to make a large dashboard there on which various useful information was displayed, that is, it is about sensors in the smart home, temperature, humidity, weather on the street, displayed different device states, whether the light is turned on or off somewhere or something else, and also displayed small images, pictures from cameras, so that you can see what is happening in which room or on which camera is displayed there.

Of course, I wanted to use other features for this, but it's not very convenient, the dashboard itself is just so static, that is, it happens there, so they also display different transport schedules, or display a shopping list, this is also convenient and in principle there may be some plan for today, for example, it is displayed and you can quickly view any information on this dashboard.

But of course, I also entered various interesting things on the TV: for example, I could turn on some video that could be shown cyclically, for example, and there is a sea or a fireplace, and it becomes quite interesting in the room, it is more pleasant to be there, and also there with sound, the video can be on the TV and is also very useful forthen for such entertainment purposes.

Well, or just did it there so that the picture was shown to me, made a small script there on the web page and which smoothly changed the pictures periodically from the archive and also, in principle, quite nice, turned it on in the evening and it turns continuously and it's always nice to look at this picture there.

But you can also make sure that information is displayed there if necessary, for example, from a video camera, if this camera is used as a doorbell or just installed in the corridor and movement is detected there, and accordingly turn on this camera, display it on this TV, and in principle you can very quickly see who came.

Well, there is actually a house there, you can output several cameras there, I did it so that I didn't have any special video recording system, I just output a stream from three cameras, or rather I output from four, but in reality it worked fine only when the stream is output from three, because Raspberry doesn't have enough bandwidth and accordingly, there is not enough video memory for it to correctly process such a stream of information, but this is if you broadcast a video, if for example you show a picture there, then there are different systems for registering videos that can be installed on this microcomputer and then it will simply update the picture once a minute, or there you can make it update once a second, that is, with any frequency, but then of course the load will be less on the display, but in this case, in principle, the video processing system itself, video registration, it also takes up the performance of this microcomputer and some tasks may start working slower.

But if you use a more powerful computer, some already on a different architecture, then of course it can cope with such tasks much easier, so you can really display several cameras online if necessary without any additional processing.

But they also make various other interesting things on the basis of these TVs, that is, you can install a mirror on top of this TV and then it will actually be such a smart mirror, that is, you can show something there if necessary through this glass, but in fact there is no big need, of course, because if it is a mirror if it is in the bathroom, then first of all there is high humidity and such devices may not work for a long time, but it is always easier to hang some tablet side by side there, on which this information will simply be displayed constantly, regardless of whether the mirror is currently being used or not, for example, I have different dashboards based in the rooms tablets, and of course there is no need to combine them with mirrors there.

It can certainly be there and it would be more beautiful if they were not visible, well, then the meaning is lost if you do not see them and the information on them can only be viewed separately by giving a command to display this information.

There are also, of course, various other display options, for example, in order to make this large video wall, so to speak, and show some information or a picture or video there, you can connect it to Yandex.

Station, for example, it has the ability to display video, then you can also make a splash screen there, which will be constantly spinning, well, if necessary, you can start some video, or when you listen to music, pictures or a corresponding video clip are shown there, well, it's also quite interesting in principle, but of course Yandex Station does not know how to display various useful information, that is, of course, this is also quite a big limitation in use, in this regard, of course using your own server, which can show any information, will give you much more opportunities, but in fact, when I displayed the dashboard on the TV, for example Raspberry, it is heavily loaded even if it is just one page on which this information will be displayed and periodically changed, that is, the web pages themselves are already quite resource-intensive and performance-intensive it's falling a lot, memory may also not be enough if the version of the microcomputer is only one gigabyte of memory, and in principle it also starts to warm up, because of this, the performance may also decrease in some other functions, and even when I used old computers and a laptop when I connected it, in this case, the load on these old laptops or computers is also so high, and even there one page already forces them to constantly turn on the fan in active mode, and actively cool the processor, that is, in principle, sometimes it may not be very convenient.

But also, of course, you can display a lot of different useful information on the TV, in general, if you want, of course, you can put some kind of projector and then you can actually make a display on the whole wall and it will be basically nice to include some picture or some video and it will be very interesting to look at this room in this smart home.
