Obviously, a smart home without video cameras is some kind of full—fledged smart home, and where to put the cameras, of course, everyone decides for themselves. In an apartment, you can put, for example, near the front door or in the hallway, you can put some kind of room in the room, for example, observe small ones or animals, or if there are several of them, well, I mean, these others, then you can simultaneously observe if, for example, there is a robot vacuum cleaner, then you can watch him, how he gets along with pets, with children, whether they break him there, of course, the main thing is in the cells. — this is video recording and viewing, preferably mostly online, of course, no one is sitting in the apartment and will not watch what is happening in the next room, also a plus, of course, you can use the camera to detect different actions and use them as triggers, for example, the presence of movement or the presence of people in the camera's field of view.. You can even observe different devices, for example, you can, of course, observe visually, I did this when I needed to check if something was on or off, but I also tried to use an image recognition system. In this case, I used System 4, a library that allows me to recognize a lot of different images: cars, houses, trees, various objects in an apartment, a table, a refrigerator, a sofa, people, and animals. Therefore, in principle, the library is quite interesting, of course, it cannot detect people's faces by default, but if you use some additional modules, then, of course, you can do this. That's all, the recognition speed depends on the size of the image, which is processed by default....
